RedactOffline

RedactOffline Privacy Policy

Published by Timur Mustafin, the data controller for this app. RedactOffline does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data of any kind — this page explains exactly what that means in practice.

Summary:

  • RedactOffline detects text in images and lets you redact selected areas before sharing or saving a copy.
  • All processing happens on your device — there is no server component.
  • The app has no analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs.
  • Nothing about your photos or detected text is ever transmitted anywhere.

Data collection

RedactOffline does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data. The app does not include analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs.

Photos and camera

When you choose a photo or take a photo, the image is processed locally using Apple frameworks on your device. Redacted images are saved to your photo library only when you choose to export them.

Network use

The app does not send your images, detected text, or redaction choices to a server. The only network-capable code path in the app is StoreKit, used solely for the one-time Pro purchase.

Data retention

Because no data leaves your device, there is nothing for us to retain. Images and detected text exist only in the app while you are working on them, and are discarded when you close the image. Redacted copies you export are stored in your photo library, under your control.

Children

RedactOffline does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13. The app has no accounts, no messaging, and no advertising.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
